It’s crazy to start thinking about winter when we haven’t even had summer yet, but the next few months will go so quickly and in July the new deliveries will start arriving.
We travelled to Germany in January this year, and we had a really successful buying trip.
We’re pleased to announce we have Xenia back in store for next season, the collection for autumn is fantastic, great wearable pieces for evening which really create a statement. I found this picture on Xenia Designs Facebook page, of us looking at the collection.
The Gallery show was in an amazing new location called Areal Böhler, this venue was a large warehouse building, much easier to get a round as it was all on one floor and we loved the industrial feel. Although we did have to walk miles to and from the car in the freezing cold…not as glamorous as Fashion Buying may seem!
The main highlight, as always, was the Rundholz collection, we spent the whole of Saturday at the show room. The Collection for Winter 2016 has been inspired by Elizabethan portraits.
The Dip collection has fantastic rich devore fabrics, touchable textures and the colours are black, brown, navy and gold. The gold is highlighted in accessories, fabrics and gold paint splashes. And we have chosen from Lisa Tucci some wonderful footwear to complement the ‘gold theme’ and also some ‘wow factor’ jewellery pieces from Jamais sans toi, which also feature gold quite strongly.
The Black label collection has rich colours of blue, wine red, grey and black. The prints are abstract florals and hand painted flower heads, the fabrics are rich. There are heavy cottons, velvets and soft knits. This season there is a larger variety of oversized pieces and lots of wonderful shaped dresses with zip details and all types of trousers from straight, balloon shaped and harems.
As usual we headed to our favourite restaurant after a long day http://www.be-luga.de/ where we had a wonderful meal then returned to the hotel for a nightcap of a few more cocktails!
