I have been looking forward to writing this blog since we came back from Germany in January, but as we have been so busy in the shop this has been my first chance to sit down and write.
We are so excited about all of the A/W 2017/18 collections, but I wanted to start with the Rundholz, Dip and Black Label as these are my personal favourites.
I have been waiting for Mr Rundholz to use tartan in the Black Label since A/W 2013 when he used it only in the Rundholz collection. I am pleased to announce it has finally come through to the Black label collection! The Black label has a real punk feel about it, from the colours and tartans down to the shoes and boots, which are mainly crepe-soled, platform like ‘creepers’. The colours are bold: red, ink blue and an olive green. The tartans come in various colour-ways and patterns – my personal favourite is the red mix.
This year it’s the season of amazing knitwear, all of the Rundholz collections have fabulously designed knitwear. I feel we haven’t had a really focused season of knitwear for a while now so I am very excited. The black label collection has 3 different tartan knits, as well as fabulous sweaters and cardigans with a mixtures of knitted textures and designs.
The Rundholz collection has been inspired by ‘socks’ – we have fabulous knitted sock scarves and headbands as well as sweaters which have socks knitted into the design. The colours for the Rundholz collection are green, stone and shades of grey and black. We have wonderfully soft cashmeres and wool sweaters.
The Rundholz Dip has two shades of green: olive and pea green, as well as black and grey. The pea green shade is very similar to the granny green used this summer which was very popular. The print used in the Dip collection this season is a wonderful hand-print; they are all black: ties, zips and buckles are also all black. The fabrics are a mix of cottons, jersey and cord.
We really can’t wait for this collection to arrive in mid July. Only 6 weeks to wait now!!
